PANAMA CITY — The Bay Economic Development Alliance ended its regular meeting Wednesday with another success story.
Butterfly Training, an aviation training company based in France, plans to open its U.S. headquarters in Panama City.
Butterfly Training offers numerous e-learning and Cloud-based training courses, focused on airport security, safety and dangerous goods. The company was founded in 2005 in France and now has locations throughout Europe and Canada.
The company has agreed to produce its online aviation training products locally.
The EDA in 2016 announced another international partnership, with GKN Aerospace choosing Bay County to house a U.S. manufacturing facility. Construction of the building is complete, with parts set to begin being produced this summer.
